The "Wissens- und Technologie-Transfer GmbH der HFT Stuttgart" (WiTech GmbH) was jointly founded by the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences and Steinbeis GmbH & Co KG for technology transfer. The aim of WiTech GmbH is to support knowledge and technology transfer at Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences (HFT Stuttgart) in order to strengthen the interaction between science and industry, particularly in the Stuttgart region.

The GROUNDBREAKERS innovation alliance was launched by the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and the Fraunhofer IAO. In 2024, the Steinbeis Transfer Centre Urban Digital Twins STUDT4iCity was founded out of the iCity research partnership. STUDT4iCIty offers comprehensive services for the development of urban digital twins for cities and municipalities in the context of smart cities. It carries out urban simulations in the field of energy and environment and offers technology consulting as well as solutions for XR and spatial computing. In addition, the focus is on analysing spatial data with AI and data science.

The Transfer Centre's range of services focuses on advising and supporting companies with product decisions and the development of suitable strategy processes. The Transfer Centre supports companies in the transfer of know-how and in their process through training, courses and workshops individually tailored to their situation. Contract research focuses on carrying out specific analyses and evaluating market trends as well as answering specific individual questions within the company. The transfer centre also supports investment decisions (due diligence) and the development of innovative business models with its many years of expertise and background knowledge.
